Editor: In a Feb. 8 Crain's Detroit Business column, Publisher Mary Kramer advocated seeing the movie "The Big Short" to better understand the mortgage meltdown of 2008. She interviewed a prominent Detroit attorney who said, "Banks were making risky big bets with all of our money" and "lots of people just don't understand this stuff."
