- State Rep. Derek Miller, D-Warren, resigned Monday and will be sworn in as Macomb County treasurer, replacing the late Ted Wahby, who died in December. "Serving the people of my district was always my top priority in the state House, and serving the people of our county will continue to be my priority in my new role," Miller said in a statement Monday. Miller, 32, a former county assistant prosecutor who was first elected to the state House in 2014, was scheduled to be sworn in at 1:30 p.m.
