- Wayne County Airport Authority, which runs the airport serving once-bankrupt Detroit, wasn’t penalized for the county’s mounting financial distress as it sold $522 million of bonds to refinance debt and fund capital projects. Tax-exempt securities due in December 2045, which have the longest maturity, were sold Tuesday for a top yield of 4.07 percent, according to preliminary pricing data compiled by Bloomberg. That’s about 0.8 percentage points more than 30-year benchmark
