SE Michigan companies caught in stock market fall, but no reason to panic

Dustin Walsh - Stocks were in free fall Monday morning. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted more than 1,000 points at opening.  China’s economic woes and global volatility forced Wall Street to slip ... fast. Southfield-based Lear Corp. (NYSE: LEA) opened at more than $7 down before recovering to $96.87 in early morning trading —still down more than $2 from opening.  In fact, all of Southeast Michigan’s public companies’ shares were down Monday morning.
